At Quail Court, which lies 130 miles east of Bend in the small rural town of Burns, Oregon, families enjoy a beautifully appointed community building and children's play area. A Little League baseball field is adjacent to the 40-unit property. Each of the one- to four-bedroom units has a private deck or patio facing the central courtyard. Community volunteers help to provide on-site safety training, daycare, and assistance with resume writing, job search and interview skills. This project targets families earning 30 to 60 percent of median family income for the area.
